The best chocolate cake I have ever tasted!

Wednesday, December 22nd, 2010

This morning I gave a talk at the Scarlet Oaks Return to Work Resource Center about social media in the job search.  Many thanks to Monte Washburn for the introduction to Lisa Slutsky, and to Lisa for the opportunity to speak.

Afterward we adjourned downstairs for a holiday pot luck, and I had the chance to try one of Monte’s famous homemade chocolate cakes. OMG! I wanted to lick my plate!

Monte also does the $timulus Book Networking group that meets at Barnes & Noble Tuesday nights. Check out his blog at http://montewashburn.WordPress.com.

Make it a great day!

I was laid off, not because of performance, but because business conditions facing the company, the industry as a whole, and the economy.  I know. I didn’t like the news either. (more…)
